iannorris: This image of the Venus transit is one I took on Tuesday, June 8th, 2004, at 08:15am.  Viewed through my Skywatcher 114mm Reflecting Telescope the image was projected onto a large white board then photographed. Today there is another Venus transit but this time, it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for most of you.  Not visible again until 2117 this is a rare occasion that I suggest all of you try to take the time to witness. I just hope this cloud cover disappears by 5pm.
